You should treat your patients like they are your own family. So, I sit in the room with a patient and the first thing I think to myself is ?Is this my dad? Is this my sister? Is this my wife? What would I do if it were them? Would I refer them to a specialist? Would I recommend this medication?? And that sort of inability to escape even if you wanted to, it?s a good thing. It keeps you focused on your patients most basic needs.
